The performing arts are alive and onstage in Lake County. Rabbit Run Theater in Madison is one of the only authentic U. S. barn theaters still up and running. Rabbit Run is located near the shores of Lake Erie where summer productions are performed in the 300-seat, fully equipped community theater. A children’s summer theater camp gives talented young folks a glimpse into the world of theater.
The arts thrive at institutions like the Fine Arts Association in Willoughby where members of the School of Fine Arts stage productions in the 264-seat Warren H. Corning Auditorium. The more intimate, 80-seat Shadowbox Theater is used for smaller performances.
Mentor Performing Arts is located in the Mentor Schools Fine Arts Center. The Mentor Performing Concert Series has featured a season of well-known performing artists each year since 1991. The Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, The Platters, Captain & Tennille, the Osmond Brothers and Air Supply are just a few of the performers who have appeared in the concert series.
